*Notes to page 25:
The ultimate stereo system! I'd read that in the near future a laser would be reading a disc. They were talking about CDs. The "lasertable" shown in the third panel is my notion of what that meant: a laser beam reading a vinyl record. The record on the turntable, by the way, is Pink Floyd's UMMAGUMMA (1969). When you have a record player like this one, it would be prudent to have a "TOTAL STEREO POWER-CUT CORE", like the one shown on page 26.
*Notes to pages 47 and 48:
I switched pens again, as you can see. While I was working on page 48 my pen exploded and made a mess in the bottom panel. I tried to work the disaster into a composition. Unfortunately, the whole thing bled through the page, partly obscuring the bottom of page 47. In the second last panel, you can sort of see Circus Maximus running across a bridge, and knocking someone off, and the doomed man's hands beside the word "NOOOO" as he plummets head first to his death. Oh well -- he was about to die anyway.
